So a few days ago my dear blogging friend Diane, had a visit from the fairy hobmother. She was granted a $50.00 amazon gift card. Well, I had a wonderful wish to be granted, and I too won a gift card.
Here was my comment:

How fun Diane..congrats on the wish come true. I wish the very best for my sissie and her new fiance'! They just got engaged last night..she is 41 and waited a long time for the right Prince, she found him..
Hi Debbie,
I’m the Fairy Hobmother, it is my job to go around the blog-o-sphere and spread joy and magic!
After having visited this blog I saw your wish for the very best for your sister and her fiancé. Firstly, congratulations on a piece of great news, the Fairy Hobmother will send some magic their way!
I had a look at your own blog, and I have got to say that you are very creative when it comes to your decorating, and your $3 goodwill table post is just incredible. I would have never thought that you could change something that dramatically by giving it a little make-over!
I would love to give you a $50 Amazon gift card so that you can get some more supplies for some more decorating projects.
If you would like to accept this gift then the only thing that the Fairy Hobmother requests in return is that you give us a brief mention in your blog (with a link). It can either be a full post or simply a brief mention at the bottom of one of your regular pieces. As an added bonus, any of your readers that leave a comment on that post and make a wish, could be visited by me.
If you would like to accept the gift please email me back and I will get it sent out to you.
Keep up the great work on the blog and I hope to hear from you soon. Have a great day!
HOW COOL is that? So now I ask of you, to cast a wish, and may all your dreams come true!
What will they think of next? I mean, seriously! I love this idea of having a Fairy Hobmother!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's see...my wish would be for my son (who is going through a divorce now) to find his princess and the one he so deserves one day. :)
The Fairy Hobmother!? What a fabulous thing!
ReplyDeleteMy hope and wish would be for my struggling 19 year old nephew to stay on the positive, clean path he is currently on!
Oh! If I could have one wish it would be that all the animal shelters had to CLOSE because all the pets found loving homes! No more abuse! No more neglect! No more abandonment! The whole world spayed and neutered their pets!
ReplyDeleteNo more suffering...
Love the Fairy Hobmother idea! My wish would be for my Husband to get the lung transplant he so desperately needs. Maybe then we could get on with our lives instead of being almost home bound.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Hobmother? Whatever, or whoever she is, I'd love her to visit me! If I made a wish I think it would be for Amazon too, there are a ton of things on my wish list there, especially knitting books, I am always wanting to knit gifts for others :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! If I had a Fairy Hobmother that could grant me a wish, I'd wish for the economy to recover. I know entirely too many people who've been layed off in the last 2 years.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, I always wanted to have a fairy hobmother and I'm a follower too! My wish is for my free-lance photographer daughter to find more jobs, as her best job for the magazine she worked, for closed down. Thanks and God bless. FABBY
ReplyDeleteThis Fairy Hobmother sounds like a wickedly awesome person. Yes, I too would like to see the economy snap back, all the homeless pets to find families& for Norma's husband to get his lung transplant. (lighting a candle for you & your Hubs, Norma) I guess, keeping it simple, I wish the best to my 2 school aged grandsons Ryan & Bradley as they start in a new school in a new state, PA, because their Dad followed his Mom (me) from Florida to PA. to stay a close family! Cyber hugs to all!

What an adorable idea. Oh to have a fairy hobmother would be great. My wish is for everyone to find love, happiness, and prosperity. Not to mention good health, especially for Norma's husband!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful happening! I love that there is a Fairy Hobmother flying around blogland! Congrats on being gifted the gift certificate! You create such wonderful things, now you will be able to create and share more!
ReplyDeleteI would love the Fairy Hobmother to visit me! I have so many projects going on right now, I don't know where to turn. Between trying to make my bedroom curtains, to having a table to paint...it is keeping me busy!
Such a wonderful idea and so fun. I am so thrilled that you got a visit from the Fairy Hobmother. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for a friend about to go through some really serious surgery that the doctors think he only has about a 20% chance of surviving. He has seperated himself from his son, so I am praying they reunite before it is too late. Hugs, Marty
Oh Marty I hope so too! My husband reunited with his Dad after 18 years....I am so happy it was not too late for them. Wishing the same for your friend! All of you I am wishing all your dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Debbie. I hope you have fun shopping with your gift card.
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be that the world's economy stabilize.
Have a fabulous week!
Well, how cool is that. Never heard of this before. I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! My wish would be for my niece. Her new baby is having some health issues and she is one worn out mommy! I would wish for her some rest and some help with some baby items she needs.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
My special wish is for my niece and her family to recover from the fire loss of their home last night in a raging firestorm that swept through Bastrop Texas last night burning 20,000 acres and over 400 homes. I posted about the massive fire along with pictures earlier today.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for their safety and that of my sister and her hubby who live in a nearby neighborhood.
I have but one wish,, When my daughter and her USCG husband get their duty orders next June it will take then off the Island of Guam to somewhere withing driving distance from me... 6 or 7 hours would make me so happy!
ReplyDeletelove it!
Thanks
Sandy
My wish is for this horrible economy to recover. So many people have lost jobs and homes and it is still happening. I hate seeing so many small mom and pop businesses having to go out of business. This really needs to turn around some how.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to wish for Norma's husband to receive a lung transplant, that trumps anything I could wish for in my little world.
ReplyDeleteThis Fairy Hobmother rocks out loud, I tell ya! I was reading about her on Diane's blog, too!!! Congratulations, Debbie, on your Amazon gift card win.
ReplyDeleteSince I am as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine, I guess my wish would be for all the folks affected by Hurricane Irene and TS Lee to find peace and the means to recover some semblance of normalcy.
I would wish for everyone's wishes to come true - I know that might sound cliche (like Miss America asking for World Peace) but you know I am so blessed with love, health and happiness I would indeed like to share it!
ReplyDeletePeggy
Wow, how great to think there really is a Fairy Hobmother! So happy for your win Debbie!
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for my son. His company closed and has now found another job...yipee!:)
This is a really cool idea! My wish would be for no one to go hungry during these hard economic times. I wish for all the food banks to be stocked with food so no person would have to go without something as basic as food. You would think that in our country that is not happening, but it is.
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for help for the displaced animals from the natural disasters our country has recently had, such as hurricane Irene, and closer to my neck of the woods... the Texas wildfires.
ReplyDeleteI breaks my heart to think of pets that have lost their people and their homes, and are wondering around lost, hungry or are picked up and put in shelters.
OH WOW! I am SO happy for you! This is fantastic, sweet friend! Happy decorating...and CONGRATS!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea! Love that you won Deb such a great Hobmother to award you like that!
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for the taking and abuse of children, it makes my heartache when I hear of it in this world of ours!
Also for Norma's husband and Marty's friend!
I'm going wish for something for myself- although it will definitely help everyone I know. I want to get organized and caught up!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to wish for my husband to find happiness in his new job :)

Faerie Hobmother is great! Can she get me job? I am an unemployed teacher and desperately want to work again.
ReplyDeleteI wish for my kiddos to have a great first day of school tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWow, Debbie, how fun that you made such a sweet wish & then got such a wonderful gift. I love the idea of a Fairy Hobmother! My wish would be that my sweet daughter & her family could own a home & move out of their teeny-tiny little apartment.
ReplyDeleteHow Fun Debbie and it couldn't have happened to someone more deserving!! So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI wish that every day could be a day like today. We went for a country ride and decided to take a little hike, found out from a policeman who had just arrived at the hiking site that someone was lost in the woods. We decided to help and after several hours ended up finding Tim who was very grateful!! Made a new friend and we felt so blessed to be a meaningful part of someones life. Wouldn't it be great if every day was like that!?
bee blessed
mary
I didn't know you had this new blog, Debbie..
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your winning!
I am so blown away by the goodness of THE FAIRY HOBMOTHER. What a blessing.
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for the recovery of the economy and jobs become more available for all the people losing their homes, cars,...respect for themselves. They are so down and so need the boost of good jobs.
xo bj
I just read this morning about soldiers returning from war and finding themselves in TERRIBLE shape financially because of this economy! My wish is for someone to do something to help them now! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteFairy Hobmother, oh how fun! Congratulations on your's and Diane's win! So proud for you both! Keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteOK, I have been here twice, trying to think what my wish would be. I have tossed around some wishes for individuals for help in their health struggles. In the end if there really was a Fairy Hobmother I too would have to go with the economy, but more specifically wisdom for our law makers.
ReplyDeleteCarol
How fun is this!
ReplyDeleteI could think of a million material things to wish for, but I'll just go with the wish I pray for every night...I wish happiness & good health for all those I love.
I have so much to be thankful. But I wish for all the families of my pre-k students to be positive, all are low-income folks and are under such pressure. I have many family events and I could use the 50 dollars to purchase supplies for these events.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I would wish that the horribly difficult illness known as LUPUS will quiet itself down for at least one struggling soul that it affects on a daily basis and gives that someone one whole day of simple peace. :)
ReplyDeleteLucky you... congratulations :)
ReplyDeleteI heard about Fairy Hobmother a few weeks back and I really love to believe in her. Isn't she soooo great!
My one wish would be for my Mom-in-Law. She has been going through a lot for the past couple of years. Being surrounded by unfaithful and mean people, who are ready to pounce on her business is what she has been fighting against since days. Hope it all ends soon and she gets to lead a happy and tension-free life!
Oh WOW, Debbie, this is great!!! and I love your blog header and your new pic--It's all tooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteXO
Cindy
Good for you Debbie! You deserve it!!
