Arcadian Home Decor

Hi all! I'm Jennifer and I write for Arcadian Home Decor, a site that specializes in top home decor ideas around the world.
I've been writing about home decor since graduating university and have loved it ever since. I'm addicted to patterned fabrics, Jonathan Adler, chaise lounges, old doors, milk glass jars, antiques, and chandeliers. There are few places on the vast internet where you can always find something pretty, but I love that I can on Debbiedoos Blogging and Blabbing.
And I feel privileged to share a post on different uses for vintage trunks.

They can be found on the side of the road, at garage sales and flea markets, or in a grandmother's attic - and yet they are one of the most treasured pieces of furniture. Vintage trunks can take on a number of roles, from that of a table, a storage unit or just one of many decorative home accessories. Here's how:
Vintage Trunks
As a coffee table via Decorpad
Whitewashed and the center of attention, this vintage trunk works as a coffee table, with an aged texture and topped with modern table decorations.
Vintage Trunks
As a showpiece via This Charming House
A cozy home office needs some style infusion, and nothing does the trick like a singular vintage trunk standing solo against a main wall.
Vintage Trunks
As a display via Feather and Branch
With a colourful hand-woven rug backdrop, the eye is immediately drawn to the painted trunk, which can become a display for beloved items like books and knick knacks.
Vintage Trunks
As a dresser via Little Peach Vintage
Antique trunks with ornate detailing can double as a stunning armoire or bedroom dresser too - the table decorations add personality to the top of the piece, while the storage below provides a place to store clothing.
Vintage Trunks
As toy chests via Mini Piccolini
A coat of paint and a padded cushion transform these vintage trunks into toy chest pieces of furniture - cute and functional!
Vintage Trunks
As an accessory via Home On the Ridge
A themed entryway or hall has a distinctly aged look with framed black and white wall art, wrought iron table decorations and quirky odds and ends like the beaten trunk.
Vintage Trunks
As a bench via Home Klondike
A vintage trunk painted in a vibrant hue is given a new lease on life when it's paired with colourful cushions to create a pretty bench.
Vintage Trunks
As a footboard via Decorpad
If a bed has a headboard but no footboard, place a vintage trunk at the end of the bed for a space with an elegant old-school feel.

  3. HI Debbie Dear! I love trunks too and have an old steamer one. I used to keep it out but it's poked inside a closet now! But it holds lots of stuff! These rooms are so pretty.
